Prayer to St. Maria Goretti
Dear St. Maria Goretti, I turn to you in my time of need. You showed remarkable courage and forgiveness in the face of unimaginable suffering. Your unwavering faith and trust in God inspire me to seek His will in my life.
Please intercede for me, that I may have the strength to forgive those who have wronged me and to live a life of purity and virtue. May your example guide me in my relationships and interactions with others.
St. Maria Goretti, pray for me, and help me to always trust in God's love and providence. Amen.
For Employment
Dear Saint Joseph, you were yourself once faced with the responsibility of providing the necessities of life for Jesus and Mary. Look down with fatherly compassion upon me in my anxiety over my present inability to support my family. Please help me to find gainful employment very soon, so that this heavy burden of concern will be lifted from my heart and that I am soon able to provide for those whom God has entrusted to my care.
Help us to guard against bitterness and discouragement, so that we may emerge from this trial spiritually enriched and with even greater blessings from God.
Prayer of Saint Francis of Assisi
Prayer of Saint Francis of Assisi Lord, make me an instrument of your peace. Where there is hatred, let me sow love. Where there is injury, pardon. Where there is doubt, faith. Where there is despair, hope. Where there is darkness, light. Where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console. To be understood as to understand, to be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive, it is in pardoning that we are pardoned, and it is in dying that we are born to Eternal Life. Amen
Morning Offering
O Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I offer You my prayers, works, joys, and sufferings of this day in union with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world. I offer them for all the intentions of Your Sacred Heart; the salvation of souls, reparation for sins, the reunion of all Christians. I offer them for the intentions of our Bishops and of all our members and in particular for those recommended by our Holy Father this month.
Renew this offering during the day by saying: "All for You, O Sacred Heart of Jesus!" or "Sacred Heart of Jesus, I give myself to You, through Mary!" "Jesus, for love of You, with You and for You"
Evening Offering
My dear Lord Jesus,
I offer up to You the rest I am going to take this night. I offer it in union with that eternal rest You enjoy in the union of the Father and Holy Spirit in the Blessed Trinity and in union with the sleep and rest You took in this world while You were living here.
I offer up to You every breath which I will draw this night and every movement of my heart.
I beg that they may all be so many acts of love, praise, joy and thanksgiving to You in union with that adoration which will be given to You in heaven tonight and for all eternity;
I earnestly beg that Your Blessed Mother, and St. Joseph, and all the angels and saints, may love and glorify You for me this night, and throughout eternity. Amen.
Lie us down, Adonai our God, in peace; and raise us up again, our Ruler, in life.
Spread over us Your Sukkah of peace, direct us with Your good counsel, and save us for Your own Name's sake.
Shield us; remove from us every enemy, pestilence, sword, famine, and sorrow.
Remove all adversaries from before us and from behind us, and shelter us in the shadow of Your wings.
For You are our guarding and saving God, yes, a gracious and compassionate God and King.
Guard our going out and our coming in for life and peace, now and always!”
Daily Renewal
We suggest you say the renewal prayer daily before the evening meal at table. The prayer below may be used to renew your "covenant" with our Lord on First Fridays, birthdays, etc. Of course, it may also be said daily.
Most kind Jesus, humbly kneeling at Thy Feet, we renew the consecration of our family to Thy Divine Heart. Be Thou our King forever. In Thee we have full and entire confidence. May Thy spirit penetrate our thoughts, our desires, our words and our deeds. Bless our undertakings, share in our joys, in our trials and in our daily labours. Grant us to know Thee better, to love Thee more, to serve Thee without faltering.
By the Immaculate Heart of Mary, Queen of Peace, set up Thy kingdom in our country. Enter closely into the midst of our families and make them Thine own through the Solemn Enthronement of Thy Sacred Heart, so that soon one cry may resound from home to home: "May the triumphant Heart of Jesus be everywhere loved, blessed and glorified forever! Honour and glory to the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary!"
"Sacred Heart of Jesus, protect our families" (Say one Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory be for the intentions of the Holy Father).
Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, Thy Kingdom come/Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for our family! St. Joseph, friend of the Sacred Heart, pray for us! Our Patron Saints and Guardian Angels, pray for us!
The parent may now bless their children. Make the sign of the cross.

Grant us a lively faith, animated by charity, which will enable us to perform all our actions from the motive of pure love of You, and ever to see You and serve You in our neighbour; a faith, firm and immovable as a rock, through which we shall rest tranquil and steadfast amid the crosses, toils and disappointments of life; a courageous faith which will inspire us to undertake and carry out without hesitation great things for your glory and for the salvation of souls; a faith which will be our Legion’s Pillar of Fire – to lead us forth united – to kindle everywhere the fires of divine love – to enlighten those who are in darkness and in the shadow of death – to inflame those who are lukewarm – to bring back life to those who are dead in sin; and which will guide our own feet in the way of peace; so that – the battle of life over – our Legion may reassemble, without the loss of any one, in the kingdom of Your love and glory. Prayer After Communion
I thank You, Lord, Almighty Father, Everlasting God, for having been pleased, through no merit of mine, but of Your great mercy alone, to feed me, a sinner, and Your unworthy servant, with the precious Body and Blood of Your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ.
I pray that this Holy Communion may not be for my judgment and condemnation, but for my pardon and salvation. Let this Holy Communion be to me an armor of faith and a shield of good will, a cleansing of all vices, and a rooting out of all evil desires. May it increase love and patience, humility and obedience, and all virtues. May it be a firm defense against the evil designs of all my visible and invisible enemies, a perfect quieting of all the desires of soul and body. May this Holy Communion bring about a perfect union with You, the one true God, and at last enable me to reach eternal bliss when You will call me.
I pray that You bring me, a sinner, to the indescribable Feast where You, with Your Son and the Holy Spirit, are to Your saints true light, full blessedness, everlasting joy, and perfect happiness. Through the same Christ our Lord. Amen.
Prayer to Saint Joseph - October Devotion
To you, O blessed Joseph, we have recourse in our afflictions, and, having implored the help of your holy Spouse, we now, with hearts filled with confidence, earnestly beg you also to take us under your protection. By that charity wherewith you were united to the Immaculate Virgin Mother of God, and by that fatherly love with which you cherished the Child Jesus, we beseech you and we humbly pray that you will look down with gracious eyes upon that inheritance which Jesus Christ purchased by His blood. and will succor us in our need by your power and strength.
Defend, O most watchful guardian of the Holy Family, the chosen offspring of Jesus Christ. Keep from us, O most loving Father, all blight of error and corruption. Aid us from on high, most valiant defender, in this conflict with the powers of darkness. And even as of old you rescued the Child Jesus from the peril of His life, so now defend God's Holy Church from the snares of the enemy and from all adversity. Shield us ever under your patronage, that, following your example and strengthened by your help, we may live a holy life, die a happy death, and attain to everlasting bliss in heaven. Amen.
